"วัดคลองเสมียนตรา เป็นวัดที่สร้างขึ้นมาใหม่โดยความศรัทธาของนายบุญไว ยอดจิตร์ และนางนิตย์ พร้อมจิตร์ ๒ คนพี่น้องได้ มีจิตศรัทธาน้อมถวายที่ดินจำนวน ๑๕ ไร่ เมื่อปี พ.ศ. ๒๕๒๖จากนั้นชาวบ้านคลองเสมียนตราก็ได้ช่วยกันพัฒนาวัด โดยได้นิมนต์พระภิกษุมาอยู่จำพรรษามากบ้างน้อยบ้างของในแต่ละปี เพื่อเป็นเนื้อนาบุญให้กับชาวคลองเสมียนตรา มีการสร้างศาลาบำเพ็ญกุศล กุฏิที่พักสงฆ์ ห้องน้ำห้องสุขา สร้างตามความเหมาะสมใน ขณะนั้น เรียกง่ายๆว่าตามประสาชาวบ้าน บางครั้งก็ไม่ได้คำนึงถึงความถูกต้องตามแผนผังการสร้างวัด ว่าสิ่งไหน ที่สร้างขึ้นสมควรจะ อยู่ตำแหน่งไหน ระยะเวลาผ่านไปสิ่งก่อสร้างเหล่านั้นเป็นไปเพียงแค่ชั่วคราวก็ชำรุดทรุดลง ชาวบ้านที่ให้การสนับสนุนในเบื้องต้นพร้อม ทั้งพระสงฆ์ก็ลดน้อยถอยลง ทำให้สถานการณ์ในช่วงนั้นย่ำแย่ลงทุกที
