"The Parasim Suriyam Temple, formerly known as Tha Nori Temple, was planted by the name of the King, and set up a forest and a convent named Tha Nori. "วัดเกษมสุริยัมนาจ เดิมชื่อวัดท่าโนรี ได้มีพระธุดงค์มาปักกลด ชื่อหลวงพ่ออิ่ม ได้ถางป่าและตั้งเป็นสำนักสงฆ์ ชื่อสำนักสงฆ์ ท่าโนรี อยู่มาไม่นานนักหลวงพ่ออิ่มมรณภาพ หลวงพ่ออ่ำ เป็นเจ้าอาวาสต่อมา ท่านเป็นคนบางยุง อำเภอบางปลา แขวงนครไชยศรี ได้ ก่อสร้างสำนักสงฆ์ขึ้นเป็นวัดชื่อว่า วัดท่าโนรี นายอากรเซี้ย เจ้าหน้าที่เก็บอากรในย่านนี้ มาจอดเรือที่หน้าวัดเพราะชอบใจวัดท่าโนรี หลวงพ่ออ่ำบอกว่าจะสร้างโบถ์ นายอากรจึงรับทำหน้าที่นี้การต่อมา อุโบสถก็สร้างเสร็จลุล่วงไปด้วยดี อุโบสถยาว ๑๒ วา ๙ นิ้ว กว้าง ๘ วา ๑ ศอก ๖ นิ้ว คุณแม่เสมได้ให้ นายภู กราบบังคมทูลขอพระราชทานวิสุงคามสีมา ท่านก็ทรงยินดีอนุโมทนาอนุญาต พระราชทาน วิสุงคามสีมา เมื่อวันที่ ๒๒ ตุลาคม รัตนโกสินทร์ศก ๑๓๒ พระพุทธศาสนกาล ๒๔๕๖ หลวงพ่ออ่ำ จึงได้จัดงาน ผูกพัทธสีมาปี พ.ศ. ๒๔๕๘ หลังจากนั้นพระพานณรงค์ ได้ขอชื่อเปลี่ยน ชื่อวัดใหม่มาเป็น “วัดเกษมสุริยัมนาจ”
