Because in the old days, all the villagers were in the woods, using wagons to carry poles at the village of Tha Pillar, and the sailors came to buy poles at the village of Tha Pillar. For a long time, the villagers called" Tha Pillar Temple, "located to the north of Nakhon Pathom Province, which was in contact with the province of Nakhon Pathom, about 48 kilometers, but before in the district of Bang Lane, for a long time, the villagers saw that it was inconvenient to go. He moved to Kampeng District in the year 2000.
The Temple of the Pillar began to be built in 1916, with the monks of the table beginning to build four cloisters, as a residence for monks and novices, and then in 1908, one agile city hall was built, so that the people made merit, and in 1922, the monks of the table moved back to Indraram Temple, Nakhon Pathom, Nakhon Pathom, where they were born. "ตามประวัติเดิม วัดท่าเสา ได้ตั้งอยู่ในตำบลกระตีบ อำเภอกำแพงแสน จังหวัดนครปฐม ที่เรียกว่า วัดท่าเสานั้นเรียกตามนาม หมู่บ้าน เนื่องจากว่าในสมัยก่อนชาวบ้านตลอดทั้งคนอยู่ตามป่าทั่วๆ ไปใช้เกวียนบรรทุก เสาที่หมู่บ้านท่าเสา และชาวเรือก็มาซื้อเสา ที่หมู่บ้านท่าเสา ชั่วระยะเวลาที่น้ำสายสุพรรณขึ้นมามาก จึงได้ตั้งนาม เรียกว่า “วัดท่าเสา” ตั้งอยู่ทางทิศเหนือของที่ว่าการ จังหวัดนครปฐม เขตติดต่อกับจังหวัดสุพรรณบุรี ห่างจากตัวจังหวัดนครปฐม ประมาณ ๔๘ กิโลเมตรเศษ แต่ก่อนขึ้นอยู่ในเขต ปกครองของอำเภอบางเลน มาเป็นเวลานาน ต่อมาชาวบ้านเห็นว่าการไปมาไม่สะดวก จึงได้ย้ายมาขึ้นอำเภอกำเเพงแสน เมื่อปี ๒๕๐๓
วัดท่าเสาได้เริ่มสร้างขึ้นเมื่อปี พ.ศ. ๒๔๕๙ โดยมีพระภิกษุโต๊ะ เป็นผู้เริ่มดำเนินการก่อสร้างในครั้งแรกได้ เริ่มสร้างกุฏิสงฆ์ ขึ้น ๔ หลัง พอเป็นที่พักอาศัยของพระภิกษุและสามเณร ต่อมาเมื่อปี พ.ศ. ๒๔๖๑ ได้สร้างศาลาการเปรียญขึ้น ๑ หลัง พอให้ประชาชน ได้ใช้ทำบุญ ต่่อมาเมื่อปี พ.ศ. ๒๔๖๒ พระภิกษุโต๊ะก็ได้ย้ายกลับวัดอินทราราม ( หุบรัก ) อำเภอเมืองนครปฐม จังหวัดนครปฐม อันเป็นที่บ้านเกิดเมืองนอนของท่าน"
